Johnson played left back in the last game we had to win.

Winning is also a lot easier if you don't let in stupid goals by getting raped on the flanks.

Yeah they all were poor too, i think a large part of Cresswell being poor though was Fornals being so shit in front of him.

Him and Benny have to start down the left next week. You cant start Johnson at LB in a game we have to win

Johnson should of been changed for Coufal in the 2nd half.....he was having a stinker and offered nothing going forward all game. Poor from Moyes

Agreed I would drop Cresswell the liability, always caught out of position at fault for their first and at Brentford.

Re: Team for Eintracht Frankfurt - Europa League Semi-Final
Agreed Johnson is a valuable member of the squad, big, quick enough, good attitude, good defender. Add crossing and better ball retention and we've got ourselves a player.

Saying that our crossing and corners were FUCKING SHIT last night. FUCKING USELESS. Keeper caught almost every one. FUCKING ABYSMAL CROSSING. I was doing my nut.

Also Johnson has all the tools of a good rb

He just needs to stay after training stick a dummy between the penalty spot and six yard spot and practice whipping that ball in first time.

Re: Team for Eintracht Frankfurt - Europa League Semi-Final
I’m confident we can do them next week

I thought they were average and we let the game overawe us… saying that we lost by a goal and get the post 3 times. We also had a many good opportunities but that final ball wasn’t there

I am LUMPING ON a ratched and using the winning to go to Seville

I think Johnson was asked to keep an eye on Kostic, which he did reasonably well. They'd obviously done their homework on him because everytime he had the ball at his feet they went after him knowing that he's one of our least gifted with the ball. Same with Dawson and Zouma.

I think Benrahma helped us play better when he came on, gave us a bit of extra pace that was lacking between Fornals and Lanzini. I would start him in the 2nd leg, yes.

Re: Team for Eintracht Frankfurt - Europa League Semi-Final
Does Benrahma start the next one?

Yes....we need to score goals and win the game so he starts. Fornals dropped. He also plays higher up than Fornals which allows Cresswell more space to attack and deliver a good ball.

Coufal is in for Johnson aswell as he was shit last night.

Go at them and get the first goal and then see where it takes us.

Re: Team for Eintracht Frankfurt - Europa League Semi-Final
Thought Benny looked good when he came on, they looked a bit scared of his twinkle toes. Early goal in the second leg and they have to attack us, which will suit us fine.

Moyes will undoubtedly go with plan A again and bring Benny on at 60-65 mins if we need a goal. Same as always.

They were surprisingly low on shithousery to their credit. Ref was much better than expected. Their fans are the campest bunch of fuckers to rock up at the OS yet. Ooh look at our full kit wankers! Oooh little flags! Silly cunts.

Looking at frankfurt last I think the away leg may suit us. There has been a serious amount of away wins in European competitions this year and will suit us .its not over

"Does Benrahma start the next one?"

No, he doesn't. Not if we have any aspirations of reaching the final.

Re: Team for Eintracht Frankfurt - Europa League Semi-Final
Does Benrahma start the next one? Their defence looked open and I think he can unlock them.

Although Benhrahma, like the rest of our attacking players, seem to make the wrong decision time and time again.

Our passing in the final third last night was often shit and lacked any composure.

If Lanzini, Fornals or Soucek are dropped for the second game they can have no complaints. Of course, I doubt the latter will be as we have no one else.

Re: Team for Eintracht Frankfurt - Europa League Semi-Final
Feel a bit gutted today. Massive game and we played like that. However, those saying Frankfurt are a crap side - what are you watching? Super efficient in what they do, far from unbeatable but they pick their moments and clearly did their homework on us, knew exactly who to press and where to make us uncomfortable and their CB had Antonio in his pocket for long stretches of the game. Saying that, we probably should have got out of it with a draw at least, it wasn't our night. I fear it will be tough to get the win we need at their place as we've allowed them to do the same again - soak it up and hit us on the break, which we are notoriously crap at dealing with. Moyes did enough homework to nullify the crossing of Kostic but seemed to forget about everything else. Two goals were fucking terrible. Too many players didn't turn up last night, massive hole in midfield. Gutted today.

Re: Team for Eintracht Frankfurt - Europa League Semi-Final
Our midfield last night were an absolute shambles Declan apart . They are there for the taking without a doubt but fornals lanzini and especially soucek have to pull their fingers out . Coufal at right back and Johnson switched to the left will help us .

Re: Team for Eintracht Frankfurt - Europa League Semi-Final
Frankfurt we’re average according to many on here…. Yet they carved through our midfield time and time again tonight. I know we had our chances but we could easily be out of this tie.
We need to be so much better in the second leg otherwise we have no chance

Re: Team for Eintracht Frankfurt - Europa League Semi-Final
Can't believe the moaning on here, then again what would I expect?

Thought Frankfurt were honest and average, the ref was excellent.

We started really badly and that took the wind out of the crowd's sails. Fornals dozing.

I suspect EF don't like Antonio and Bowen and we were unlucky in hitting the woodwork 3 times. Hopefully that luck will change. They got rebounds, we didn't get them.

Next week will be fun. We learned a lot about them.

Frankfurt were a really poor team and yet again we struggled agai poor opposition. Really missed opportunity, but we go again and they set up as an away team better. We can do this lot big time.

Re: Team for Eintracht Frankfurt - Europa League Semi-Final
Just got in from the game. Feel gutted we haven't come away from that with a couple goals advantage if truth be told. Said this would be our toughest game so far. They were much more clinical in the final third than us and thankfully we haven't lost 3-1 with the tiddly hitting the post near the end, saying that it could have ended up 2-2.

Ben Johnson, bless the kid. He just doesn't want to take that ball forward at all. Coufal has to start the second leg. The only change is make. Benrahma looked lovely when he came on but he should be used as that impact sub from now on.
